french lesson

i'm learning a lot of french, living with a french-speaking family. it's great being able to really express myself in this language.

for example: i can now go into any french restaurant and tell its patrons to "use your spoon!", and "you have to eat two more bites before dessert."

as they give me a dirty look and head for the door, i can say, "don't touch the door until you wash your hands!"

if they ignore me, i can then bust out with, "NO! say you're sorry!"

i could continue, you know, asking if they need to pee-pee, offering to wipe them when they're done and all, but you get the point.

All I can say is get use to it. You will find that you continue to ask those same questions to your 23 year old. Now you begin to see how I got this way. Trish

Mo had a very large and deep abscess on his left leg/shoulder. The vet said she had never treated a larger cat and never treated that large of an abscess it was huge and nasty. Mo will probably make a full recovery but has trouble with bending the leg as the muscle was damaged. The abscess was deeper than an inch and about 10 inches in diameter, no joke, all the way from just where his foot starts to the top of his neck shoulder area. It burst on one of the dinning room chairs, lovely, however the kitty spot removal did wonders. It was a cat bite in the end thank goodness, not gunshot. Pee kitty and Mo are traveling home with me when I'm well enough to go!

as don put it, we're practicing parenting on other people's kids... we won't be the ones to bail them out of jail in 15 years if we've messed them up.

ps: glad mo didn't actually have a cap in his ass. get out of that ghetto and back to the lavender farm! i bet michael can't wait to have pus-free furniture, yum.
