poopity-pants
something about having a child has made my husband and i use cutsie non-words for everything. most parents do this, at some point, usually adding "y" or "ie" to the ends of words. there is no "dog" or "horse" for the new parent, only "doggy" and "horsie."
*we* have taken this one step further. "nap" is not just "nappie"; "walk" is not just "walky." rather, we prefer the ultra-new-parent-extended versions: "nappity-nap," "walkity-walk," etc.
which leads us to "poopity-pants." thanks to EC we will have fewer and fewer of them. our count for today is THREE pees and ONE poop in the potty. that is our record. we are SO proud. in case you couldn't tell.

That's really impressive! I am thinking of potty training Elijah soon... he is so predictable when it comes to pooping, so I figure why not? At least make the diapers last a little longer.
i didn't tell our true motive...
our diaper service ran out on monday, so now we have to wash all our own diapers. so we've gotten serious; he's pooped on the potty every morning for the last three mornings! i'm such a proud mother!
we use the Baby Bjorn potty seat that goes right on the regular toilet. however parents of self-propelling children have good luck with putting little potty chairs around the house so the child can go without parental assistance. good luck!
